Ergonomic chair break: Stop HaloShort after one episode
After work, you turn the ergonomic chair toward the TV for one episode. If the next one starts automatically, turn off autoplay; use pause to stop the episode you're watching.
"Watching one episode" depends on how long that episode actually is
An ergonomic chair has its own height, armrest, and recline adjustments—just set it to a position that suits current use according to the product instructions. When turning toward the TV, also check whether the desk edge blocks the screen and whether there's enough space behind the chair. Once the chair's position is settled, picking a show is easier to focus on.
Short dramas have many episodes, but that doesn't mean every episode is the same length. When only a short window of free time is available, checking the length of the episode you're about to play is more useful than simply picking a familiar cover. Don't speed up all the dialogue just to finish before some deadline.
Turning off autoplay and pausing handle exactly two situations
To finish the current episode completely without it automatically continuing, just turn off autoplay. If a call comes in or you're about to leave the seat, pause what's playing. The autoplay switch won't stop the current episode, and it can't serve as a way to end viewing at a set time.
If there really is a time you must leave by, you can separately use a reminder method you're familiar with to handle the current playback when the time comes. Content you're interested in stays in the local favorites, so next time on the same device there are still candidates—no need to keep watching out of fear of losing track of the title.
HaloShort is currently free, and you can find the download entry via the Emotn store. The app works on compatible Android TV or Google TV devices; after installing, pick an episode that interests you and leave the rest of the story for next time—it's easy to find again.
